Shikamana School for Orphans and Disadvantaged Children

Visiting Shikamana School is a wonderful experience.  The children are happy to be at school and are clearly very proud of their new school.  However this must not be considered as a Tourist attraction.  The children's day at school is carefully timetabled and if they are to maintain high standards then they must not be distracted too often by visitors coming to take a look at all times of the day.  For this reason it is best to contact the school in advance to arrange a visit.  Jackson will arrange an appropriate day and time, that fits in with your other holiday plans, so that your visit can be a good experience for you and for the children at the school.

You are welcome to bring children to Shikamana, it can be a learning experience to see how other children without the advantages of the modern world enjoy their time at school.
